Planning concept: The following proposed changes are made in the road layouts: Maggie L. Walker road is converted into a small, mostly pedestrian, plaza. The hotel auto entrance is from 2nd Street. The alley adjacent to Jackson Street is turned into a pedestrian axis that leads through the split volume of the block B building to the plaza. The service road forms the perimeter, split by the pedestrian zone. Onother service road connects blocks D and E. Parking will be located on underground levels and on the small lots adjacent to the buildings. All parking is shown on the Schematic Master Plan. |
